The Station was originally used as the office for Carl’s Cabins and Gas Station. Today The Station is a stand-alone cabin with two full sized beds, a 55 inch TV with premium streaming, a huge bathroom with a large walk-in shower, and a kitchenette with a 2 burner induction stove and 3 in 1 multifunction oven that will microwave, air fry or bake. The Station has pots, pans, silverware, plates, bowls, glasses, cooking utensils, a toaster, coffee maker, and a crock-pot. Filled with memorabilia from by-gone years, we have transformed Carl’s old office into a comfortable room complete with modern amenities.

Our goal is to make Carl's Cabins the premier guest lodge in Hettinger and we still have some work to do. We're updating the exterior of our buildings, adding rooms, and remodeling some of the buildings to include a new common area to improve the comfort and luxury of our hotel. We've lowered our prices until these upgrades are complete.

"We had an absolute fantastic time. The deer hunting was not so good but the cabin was more than we expected. We have stayed many places during hunting and this was the best for the price. There was plenty of room and the bathroom was large. We precooked most of our meals but were able to make all the sides with the dishes provided. We ate just as good as we do at home. Whenever we get west river tags again, we will be staying at the cabins - Paul Dockter November 18, 2025
